About the Role
As Quality Systems Manager, you will take ownership of the company's Business Management System (BMS), ensuring it remains compliant, effective and continually evolving to meet business and ISO requirements. Working across operational and corporate teams, you will lead internal audits, support external certification processes and drive continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen compliance, quality and operational performance.

The key responsibilities for this Quality Systems Manager role are:
- Lead the management, maintenance and continual improvement of the Business Management System
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards
- Develop and deliver the internal audit programme across multiple business functions
- Produce detailed audit reports and manage corrective actions through to completion
- Support external certification and surveillance audits
- Lead root cause analysis investigations and implement continuous improvement initiatives
- Monitor quality performance, compliance metrics and business risks
- Coach and support operational teams on quality systems, compliance and best practice
- Promote a culture of quality, safety and continual improvement across the business
- Support document control, governance and management system development
Experience required for this Quality Systems Manager role are:
- Degree qualified or equivalent within an engineering or quality-related discipline
- IRCA Lead Auditor qualification
- Minimum five years' experience within Quality Management, Quality Systems or Business Management Systems
- Extensive experience auditing ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems
- Experience working within highly regulated engineering, infrastructure, manufacturing or energy sectors
- Strong knowledge of compliance frameworks, document control and governance systems
- Experience conducting root cause analysis and driving continuous improvement programmes
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Desirable knowledge, skills and experience for this Quality Systems Manager role are:
- Chartered Quality Professional or working towards chartership
- Knowledge of Lean methodologies and continuous improvement techniques
- CDM awareness
- Experience working with third-party certification bodies
- Previous experience within power, utilities or major infrastructure environments
