Site Project Manager - EHV Civils (Tier 2 Contractor)

Salary: Up to £65,000 + Package

Location: UK-wide (travel & working away required)

A leading Tier 2 Civils Contractor operating within the EHV / utilities sector is looking to appoint an experienced Site Project Manager to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of large-scale infrastructure and substation projects across the UK, with full ownership from project inception through to completion.

The Role

As a Site Project Manager, you will be responsible for delivering projects safely, on time, within budget, and to a high standard of quality, while ensuring full compliance with company procedures and industry regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage projects from planning through to completion
  • Ensure delivery meets programme, budget, quality, and HSE standards
  • Lead project planning and programming (MS Project essential)
  • Coordinate and manage labour, plant, materials, and subcontractors
  • Produce and manage RAMS, method statements, and site documentation
  • Maintain strong client relationships and stakeholder communication
  • Oversee financial performance, including cost tracking and reporting, payment applications and valuations, variations, claims, and dispute resolution
  • Ensure compliance with Temporary Works and HSE procedures

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years' site experience, with prior Project Management responsibility
  • Experience in civils or utilities, ideally including substation civils / HV cable installation, groundworks, drainage, road construction, or reinforced concrete
  • Strong understanding of NEC contracts (e.g., NEC3), Temporary Works procedures, New Roads & Streetworks
  • Proven ability in cost control, reporting, and commercial awareness
  • Proficient in MS Project and general IT systems
  • Strong leadership, organisation, and communication skills
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Willingness to travel and work away across mainland UK

Qualifications & Certifications (Desirable)

  • Degree in Civil Engineering (or similar)
  • SMSTS
  • Temporary Works Coordinator (TWC)
  • NRSWA Supervisor
  • NG BESC/Person
  • HSG47
  • First Aid
  • Appointed Person
