An established infrastructure contractor is seeking a SHEQ Advisor to join their team in Warrington to support the delivery of Safety, Health, Environment and Quality standards across energy, infrastructure and construction projects. The SHEQ Advisor will be responsible for supporting the delivery of Safety, Health, Environmental, and Quality (SHEQ) standards across engineering and infrastructure projects. The role ensures compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and statutory requirements while promoting a strong safety culture across all project activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct site inspections, audits and compliance reviews.
- Support risk assessments, method statements and safe systems of work.
- Investigate incidents and support corrective actions.
- Deliver SHEQ briefings and toolbox talks.
- Support compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards.
- Maintain SHEQ documentation and reporting.
- Promote a positive safety culture across project teams.
Requirements
- NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent.
- Previous SHEQ, HSE or Health & Safety experience within energy, utilities, infrastructure, engineering or construction.
- Good knowledge of UK health and safety legislation.
- Experience undertaking audits, inspections and risk assessments.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
Desirable
- Experience on energy or utility projects is preferred, although applicants from civil engineering, infrastructure, utilities or construction backgrounds are also encouraged to apply.
- IOSH membership or working towards professional accreditation.
- Experience within regulated or safety-critical environments.
Salary
Between £45,000 - £60,000 negotiable dependant on experience plus package including: Car / Allowance (level dependant), 26 days holiday plus bank holidays, Pension Scheme, Life Assurance.
