A specialist civil engineering, demolition, bulk earthworks, remediation and waste management contractor with over 65 years experience delivering projects across the UK is looking to hire a HSQE Advisor to join their Health, Safety, Environment and Quality department team based in Trafford Park, Greater Manchester.
As a HSQE Advisor reporting directly to the Head of HSEQ, you will work across a number of civil engineering, bulk earthworks and demolition sites and play a key role in driving high standards of health, safety and quality compliance, supporting site teams with practical, hands-on guidance and ensuring the business meets its legislative and management system obligations.
Site locations are based Predominantly in the Northwest of England but travel to other UK location will be required as needed.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out HSEQ visits to PPOC civil engineering, bulk earthworks and demolition sites
Complete inspection and audit reports using Safety Culture
Produce reports and data analysis using Safety Culture
Develop and deliver toolbox talks to site management and operatives
Carry out accident and incident investigations, producing relevant reports and learning outcomes
Maintain a good working knowledge of health & safety legislation, providing practical and compliant advice to the business
Understand the requirements of ISO 9001, 18001 and 45001, and audit against the relevant clauses
Person Specification
Essential
NEBOSH Construction Certificate (minimum requirement)
Minimum of 3 years experience in a construction-related industry
Good working knowledge of current H&S legislation
Working knowledge of ISO 9001, 18001 and 45001
Full UK driving licence
Willingness and ability to travel to sites throughout the UK
The successful candidate must be able to obtain security clearance at security-vetted sites Salary
Circa £45,000 - £53,000 dependant on experience plus package including a company car or car allowance
