This Quantity Surveyor role focuses on the commercial management of residential construction projects. You will play a key part in ensuring projects remain financially controlled while supporting smooth delivery on site.
Working closely with internal teams, subcontractors and external stakeholders, you will manage costs, valuations and contractual processes throughout the project lifecycle. The role offers a good level of responsibility and the opportunity to influence project performance from procurement through to final account.

The key responsibilities for this Quantity Surveyor role are:
- Build and maintain relationships with subcontractors, consultants and clients
- Procure subcontractors in line with programme and company procedures
- Assess subcontractor applications and issue payment notifications
- Prepare and submit external valuations in line with contract requirements
- Manage and forecast project valuations through to final account
- Monitor and manage change in line with contract conditions
- Produce cost reports including valuations, liabilities and reconciliations
- Maintain accurate commercial and site records
- Identify and report project delays with the wider team
- Minimise non-recoverable costs across projects
- Price and agree project variations
Experience required for this Quantity Surveyor role are:
- Relevant HND or degree in Quantity Surveying or related field
- Minimum of three years’ experience within the construction sector
- Working knowledge of NEC and JCT forms of contract
- Strong understanding of cost control and commercial processes
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
Desirable knowledge, skills and experience for this Quantity Surveyor role are:
- Experience working on residential or housing developments
- Valid CSCS card
- Full UK driving licence
