The Assistant Engineer Role:

A well-established yet rapidly growing housing developer has an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Engineer to join the team, mainly working on private and bespoke housing projects in and around the Leeds area. The role will suit someone with early career experience in residential engineering who is looking to develop further within a supportive team environment. You will typically support the Engineering Manager while overseeing 2-3 live sites at various stages of development.

The role will involve assisting with the coordination of engineering and infrastructure elements, managing technical information and supporting the delivery of section agreements and adoptions through to completion. Candidates may come from either a house builder or a consultancy background, provided they have experience working on residential housing projects.

To be considered for the Assistant Engineer position:

  • House building or consultancy background with residential experience
  • Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or a related discipline (desirable)
  • Minimum of 1-3 years' experience in an Assistant Engineer, Engineer or similar role
  • Basic knowledge of section agreements, adoptions and setting-out
  • Good attention to detail with a proactive and organised approach
