A leading player in the civil engineering and infrastructure sector is currently recruiting for an experienced Health & Safety Advisor to work on a major highways junction improvement project at the M3 Junction 9 based in Hook, Hampshire.
Reporting to a Health & Safety Manager, you will be responsible for facilitating compliance with legislative, corporate and other requirements in relation to Health and Safety as well as assisting in the co-ordination of all activities related to the implementation, development and maintenance of the Safety Management Systems (SMS) for the business.
Health & Safety Advisor Specification:
- 3+ years experience health and safety experience in construction or civil engineering
- Need to have demonstrable 'Boots on the ground' Construction experience
- NEBOSH Level 3 Certificate in Construction Safety and Health or equivalent
- CSCS cardholder
- An understanding of the requirements of BS OHSAS 45001:2018
- A working knowledge of health & safety legislation
- Good interpersonal skills with the ability to guide and educate/train at all levels
- Self-confidence to build strong working relationships internally and externally
- Good presentation, written, analytical and IT skills
Between Β£48,000 - Β£53,000 per annum dependant on experience plus car/allowance and package.
