About the Role

As Project Planner you will be responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining project programmes that align with contract requirements and client expectations. You will utilise critical path analysis, resource planning, cost management and productivity monitoring to ensure delivery against time, cost and quality targets. This role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of projects across the energy and infrastructure sectors.

Key Requirements:

  • Develop and maintain baseline programmes for allocated projects in line with contracts and workscope
  • Update project plans to reflect variations and communicate impacts to operational and commercial teams
  • Monitor progress and productivity, producing reports such as histograms, S-curves and earned value analysis
  • Work closely with Project Managers to undertake time and risk analysis throughout the project lifecycle
  • Support bid activities and tender programmes in conjunction with the business development team
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure realistic, achievable and efficient programmes are in place

Experience Required:

  • Experience working on HV networks or major infrastructure projects (rail, nuclear, power, water)
  • Practical knowledge of planning techniques across tendering and contract delivery
  • Experience with planning software such as Primavera P6, Asta or Microsoft Project
  • Computer literate with strong knowledge of Microsoft Office packages
  • Completed craft apprenticeship or equivalent/higher qualification
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Full UK driving licence (desirable)
