This is a great opportunity for an experienced Field Service Engineer to join a specialist rail engineering company providing depot maintenance services across the UK rail network. Our client is seeking a skilled and motivated Field Service Engineer to join their nationwide team, working primarily across the Midlands and South of England. This is a long-term, stable position with regular overtime, excellent benefits, and genuine opportunities for career progression. Package offered for this Field Service Engineer role:
- Salary: £39,720 per annum
- Location: Nationwide
- Benefits: Company van and fuel card, overtime available most weeks, on-call rota 1 in 14, with on-call payment, travel and accommodation covered when required, 22 days holiday + bank holidays, ongoing training and professional development
Key responsibilities for this Field Service Engineer role:
- Perform depot maintenance, servicing, and repairs on electrical and mechanical rail equipment
- Work independently on-site to diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve faults efficiently
- Complete all job documentation using a mobile phone or tablet
- Maintain excellent communication with clients and the service office
- Ensure all work is completed safely, on time, and to rail industry standards
- Travel to multiple depot locations across the Midlands and South, including working away from home with overnight stays when required
Experience required for this Field Service Engineer role:
