Responsibilities:
- Oversee all commercial and financial aspects of marine infrastructure projects, ensuring profitability and value optimisation.
- Develop and manage project budgets, cost estimates, and cash flow forecasts.
- Conduct regular cost-value reconciliations (CVRs) and financial performance reviews.
- Manage procurement processes, tender evaluations, and subcontractor negotiations.
- Administer NEC and other standard form contracts, ensuring full compliance and effective risk management.
- Prepare and manage claims, variations, and dispute resolutions.
- Lead cost control, financial reporting, and commercial reviews with senior management.
- Build and maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships, acting as a key commercial representative.
- Provide leadership, mentoring and training to junior Quantity Surveyors.
- Ensure adherence to health, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements across all projects.
Requirements:
- Degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 7+ years’ experience in a Quantity Surveying role, with at least 3 years at senior level.
- Proven experience delivering marine, coastal, or civil engineering projects.
- Strong working knowledge of contract management (NEC preferred).
- Excellent commercial awareness, cost management and negotiation skills.
- Confident communicator with the ability to engage at all levels, both internally and externally.
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
- Full UK Driving Licence and willingness to travel to project sites as required.
