We are working with a leading Tier 1 contractor to appoint an experienced Building Services Manager to support the delivery of a portfolio of complex, technically challenging projects across multiple locations.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Building Services Manager with a strong understanding of both Mechanical and Electrical services and proven experience managing projects from initial design development through to installation, commissioning, handover, and close-out.

The successful candidate will be based part of the week from a regional office in the East Midlands, with the remainder spent across project sites within the UK.

Once settled into the role there will be some opportunity for hybrid working arrangments.

Flexibility to travel is therefore essential.

The Opportunity You will play a key role in overseeing the full building services lifecycle, ensuring MEP packages are coordinated, delivered safely, and completed to programme, budget, and quality expectations.

Projects are predominantly within secure government and public sector environments, including: Defence Justice & Custodial Government Infrastructure Key Responsibilities Manage MEP delivery from design development through to commissioning and handover.

Review and challenge consultant and subcontractor designs.

Coordinate mechanical, electrical, and public health services across multiple projects.

Drive programme, quality, compliance, and technical standards.

Manage subcontractor performance and site activities.

Attend design, progress, and client meetings.

Support commissioning strategies and ensure successful project completion.

Work closely with project delivery teams, commercial teams, consultants, and end clients.

Candidate Requirements Previous experience as a Building Services Manager, MEP Manager, or equivalent.

Demonstrable cradle-to-grave project delivery experience, including both design and installation phases.

Mechanical or Electrical bias considered.

Strong working knowledge across both Mechanical and Electrical disciplines.

Experience working for a main contractor, Tier 1 contractor, or major project environment.

Background delivering projects within defence, custodial, government, healthcare, or other highly regulated sectors would be advantageous.

Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

Willingness to travel between project locations as required.
