The Planner sits within the work winning function, supporting tender teams and project management teams with planning, scheduling and project performance reporting.2. About the RoleThe Planner will provide planning and scheduling support across both tendering and project delivery activities.
You will develop and maintain programmes, assess risks, monitor progress and produce programme information for project teams. The role will also contribute to tender strategies, written submissions, post-tender negotiations and the handover of successful bids.3. The key responsibilities for this Planner role are: Develop detailed programmes and programme contentUpdate and monitor progress within working programmesIntroduce and manage programme changesResource and cost-load programmesAssess and incorporate programme risksCheck programme robustness using appropriate techniquesProduce routine and ad-hoc programme outputsInterpret information from tender documentationContribute to bid-winning strategiesDevelop tender programme structures and contentSupport tender written submissionsTransfer planning information to project teams following successful bidsGather and monitor progress and feedback informationProduce and communicate programme information in different formatsProvide planning support to construction teamsEvaluate supply chain programmesEstablish and maintain internal and external project controls reportingWork to defined project timescales4. Experience required for this Planner role are: Demonstrable understanding of construction methods and outputsExperience working with planning and programming techniquesExperience using planning software, principally Primavera P6Understanding of commercial and contractual requirementsUnderstanding of programme changeExperience providing short-term planning support to construction teamsAbility to analyse and assess programmesExperience evaluating supply chain programmesAbility to work to defined timescalesUnderstanding of business processes and systems5.
