This is a great opportunity for an experienced HSE Advisor to join a main contractor on Hinckley Point. This role is based out of the Avonmouth office and requires marine/offshore/civils works. Our client is looking for a HSE Advisor to work on the Civil Engineering/Marine aspects of the project, involving both shore and offshore work. This is an initial 6 month contract, with the opportunity to move on to other upcoming projects beyond this. This role falls inside IR35. Package offered for this HSE Advisor role:
- £480-£550 per day based on experience
- Inside IR35
- 6 month initial contract with potential for future extension
Key responsibilities for this HSE Advisor role:
- Offer daily technical advice and support on all health and safety issues
- Conduct risk-based monitoring
- Continue to enhance H&S Management
- Promote and enforce H&S Standards
- Risk based inspection and audits to assess health and safety performance
- Develop health and safety risk profiles
- Ensure compliance and reviews
- Conduct inspections, manage accident investigations and maintain records and reports
- Provide training, briefing and information on the H&S management system
- Design and implement zero-tolerance HSE programs to raise awareness across the project
- Work collaboratively with other safety, health and environmental professionals to develop integrated safety policies and systems
Experience required for this HSE Advisor role:
- Experience in a similar role
- Ideally Marine/Offshore experience
- Some flexibility required working some nights etc as and when required
- Hold a minimum NEBOSH certificate or equivalent
- Able to deliver internal H&S management courses
- Advise on health and safety issues on a day to day basis on site
- Conduct standard accident investigations on site
- Able to write site inspection reports and audit reports
