The key responsibilities for this Quantity Surveyor role are:

  • Build and maintain relationships with subcontractors, consultants and clients
  • Procure subcontractors in line with programme and company procedures
  • Administer subcontract agreements and contractual documentation
  • Assess subcontractor applications and issue payment notifications
  • Prepare and submit external valuations in line with contract requirements
  • Manage and forecast project valuations through to final account
  • Measure quantities from drawings and on site where required
  • Evaluate variations and provisional sums accurately
  • Monitor and manage change in line with contract conditions
  • Produce cost reports including valuations, liabilities and reconciliations
  • Maintain accurate commercial and site records
  • Identify and report project delays with the wider team
  • Minimise non-recoverable costs across projects
  • Price and agree project variations

Experience required for this Quantity Surveyor role are:

  • Relevant HND or degree in Quantity Surveying or related field
  • Minimum of three years’ experience within the construction sector
  • Working knowledge of NEC and JCT forms of contract
  • Strong understanding of cost control and commercial processes
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office

Desirable knowledge, skills and experience for this Quantity Surveyor role are:

  • Experience working on residential or housing developments
  • Valid CSCS card
  • Full UK driving licence
