The key responsibilities for this Quantity Surveyor role are:
- Prepare interim valuations and final accounts
- Procure subcontractors in line with programme and company procedures
- Administer subcontract agreements including meetings, variations and notices
- Assess subcontractor applications and issue payment notifications
- Agree final accounts with subcontractors
- Measure quantities from drawings and on site where required
- Evaluate and manage variations accurately
- Manage weekly labour and plant payments where required
- Monitor and control material costs
- Produce cost reports including valuations and reconciliations
- Work with site teams to monitor progress and forecast costs to completion
- Maintain accurate commercial and site records
- Identify and report project delays alongside the project team
- Attend design reviews and progress meetings
Experience required for this Quantity Surveyor role are:
- Relevant degree or equivalent in Quantity Surveying or related discipline
- Experience working within the water industry
- Understanding of water treatment, storage and conveyance systems
- Experience working with NEC target cost contracts
- Experience on design and construct schemes
- Strong knowledge of commercial and cost management processes
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and project systems
Desirable knowledge, skills and experience for this Quantity Surveyor role are:
