This is a great opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join a subcontractor/PC that delivers practical technical and energy solutions. The company helps to move toward net-zero through engineering work, facilities management, and projects like district heating, biogas, and EV charging.
Our client is looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join them commercially. You’ll be responsible for leading and delivering mechanical designs for complex carbon-reduction and energy-efficiency M&E projects, often on live operational sites with critical systems. The role combines hands-on design, technical oversight, and coordination of external designers.

Package offered for this Mechanical Engineer role:- £400 - £450 per day (based on experience)
- Inside IR35
- 6-month contract
- 3-5+ years commercial M&E/energy engineering experience
- Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
- Experience with major plant and systems
- Ability to produce 2D AutoCAD drawings; understanding of 3D CAD
- Experience with HVAC system design, piping and pumping systems
- Familiarity with engineering documentation processes: Document/drawing control, test plans, protocols, and commissioning documentation
