Bid Manager

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Bid Manager to join a well known Tier 1 contractor working within the Work Winning Team within the Civils and Infrastructure sector.

The company is a well know Tier 1 contractor who operate nationwide throughout the UK and have a number of Regional offices. Your role as Bid Manager you will joining an award winning business who will be part of the Work Winning team involved in Civil Engineering projects based in the London Region.

My client is looking for individuals to join the company who would be looking to develop their career and grow within the company as it expands.

Key responsibilities for this Bid Manager role:

• Actively manage and win tender opportunities

• Provide clear leadership and direction for all members of the bid team

• Drive and energise bid team to achieve successful outcome for each allocated tender.

• Ensure that a coherent bid strategy is developed

• Continually evaluate winning strategy and direct team and resources to focus on activities which will enhance chance of bid success

• Oversee and be involved in tender commercial strategy

• Agree bid budget and monitor expenditure with Head of Management

• Manage tender programme

• Ensure Company & Group governance and procedures are adhered to

• Oversee designers brief in conjunction with technical services.

• Participate in review of suppliers to receive tender enquiries

• Work with commercial manager to understand route map to deliver margin set within business plan

• Decide what queries we raise (or do not raise) in line with tender strategy.

• Arrange and co-ordinate tender and post-tender meetings/interviews with client/Employers agent

• Manage/take part in the review of Quality Submission

• Tender feedback once the result Is known

• Handover to the project delivery team for successful tenders

Experience required for this Bid Manager role:

• Experience in a similar role

• Knowledge of Civil Engineering

• Strong knowledge of UK construction market

• Knowledge of relevant legislation

• Commercial awareness of different forms of contract

• Strong presentation and Client communication skills

Package offered for this Bid Manager role:

• Basic Salary up to £85,000 depending on experience

• Plus package
