A leading tier 1 contractor is looking for an Assistant Planner to join the planning team of their building division. You will spend the first 6 months working closely with a Senior Planner where you will get in-depth training on the fundamentals of planning, including learning the software and gaining exposure to preconstruction and live projects.
The ideal candidate:
- A Site Engineer or Construction Manager with 1-3 years' experience that is interested in moving into Planning.
- OR A Trainee or Assistant Planner that is looking for a fresh challenge.
The Key Requirements:
- Main contracting background within building/construction.
- A practical construction management or engineering background is preferred but not essential.
- Proficient in the use of Asta PowerProject (not essential if you are an Engineer or Site Manager looking to transition).
- Exposure to a variety of commercial construction projects.
- Excellent communication skills, works well under pressure, team player, able to work autonomously when required.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Qualified to a high standard in a relevant subject.
Due to the location of the office, the ideal candidate would live in or around the following areas - South Birmingham, Solihull, Warwickshire, Coventry, Leicester, Northampton, Milton Keynes.
