Role Summary

A high growth, pioneering consultancy, working across the UK, dedicated to enhancing nature and biodiversity are looking to hire an Assistant Ecologist to join their fantastic team.

As an Assistant Ecologist, you will have the opportunity to be part of something special, to help scale the company, as well as develop your own sector specialisms, in a progressive and supportive environment. You will work on complex, high-profile and exciting projects with nationally significant businesses within the construction, retail, and infrastructure sectors, as well as supporting the third sector with real and lasting environmentally positive change.

You will also:

  • Undertake protected species surveys
  • Produce technical reports with training (PEA and PRA reports, BNG reports, protected species reports, etc.)
  • Manage small to medium-sized projects, with support from senior management

Seeking someone with:

  • 6 months - 1 year+ of industry experience
  • A degree in ecology or similar based subject and working understanding of relevant legislation, planning policies, and licensing regulations
  • Full UK driver's license and use of your own vehicle (mileage expenses paid)
  • Good communication skills, specifically written English and report writing skills, assimilating ecological data and presenting relevant information well
  • Energetic and willingness to undertake practical work and office-based work.
