Project Planner - Data Centre / Cabling Infrastructure


We're currently recruiting for a Project Planner to join a growing technology and infrastructure business, supporting the delivery of large-scale structured cabling, data centre and network infrastructure projects for major global clients.


As a Project Planner, you'll be responsible for developing and maintaining detailed project programmes, coordinating resources and procurement, monitoring progress and costs, and ensuring projects remain on schedule and aligned with client requirements.


Key responsibilities:



  • Develop and manage detailed programmes from tender through delivery

  • Coordinate with Project Managers, Engineers, Site Teams and clients

  • Manage resource planning, procurement call-offs and critical path activities

  • Monitor project progress, costs, hours and programme trends

  • Support EOTs, programme changes, compressed programmes and forecasting

  • Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies

  • Attend project kick-offs and site visits

  • Review scope changes, additional works and cost trends

  • Interpret technical drawings, floor plans and project documentation


What we're looking for in a Project Planner:



  • Experience within infrastructure, construction, data centres or structured cabling

  • Strong understanding of project planning and programming techniques

  • Experience with Primavera P6, MS Project or similar

  • Good understanding of commercial and contractual interfaces

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders

  • Knowledge of structured cabling, network infrastructure or data centres is highly desirable

  • Strong Microsoft Office and Excel skills

  • BICSI, ECS, CNCI or equivalent certifications are advantageous
