Rigging Engineer (Team Lead) – Broadcast / Radio

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Rigging Engineer to join a leading main contractor working on a long-term Microwave Links, Broadcast, Radio and Telecoms Installation Project.

We are looking for a skilled and safety-conscious Rigging Engineer with experience in working at height, radio installations and telecommunications infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out Line of Sight (LOS) surveys and provide accurate site information.
  • Assist with the installation and commissioning of radio equipment.
  • Support radio deployment, maintenance and technical activities.
  • Meet with customers to discuss installation, maintenance and Health & Safety requirements.
  • Produce clear and accurate site reports, including written details and supporting photographs.
  • Complete Risk Assessments and comply with relevant RAMS.
  • Carry out all works in accordance with project-specific Health & Safety documentation and procedures.
  • Ensure all work areas are maintained as safe environments for yourself, colleagues, customers and other site personnel.
  • Work effectively as part of a wider rigging and installation team while maintaining high standards of safety and workmanship.

Experience & Qualifications Required

The successful candidate will ideally have experience within telecoms, broadcast, radio or tower rigging, together with the following:

  • proven experience on Radio and Broadcast projects
  • working at height on towers and telecoms structures.
  • RF Training.
  • Rooftop Awareness.
  • Tower Rescue certification.
  • Valid Medical Certificate.
  • First Aid at Height.
  • Asbestos Awareness.
  • SC Clearance or eligibility to obtain SC Clearance.
  • Clear driving license
  • Electrical Safety training/awareness.
  • Car / Van for National Travel
  • PPE Inspection

Previous experience working on microwave links, radio installations or broadcast infrastructure would be highly advantageous.

Package

  • Β£350 per day
  • Outside IR35
  • 6-month contract, with potential to extend following review
  • Start Date: Monday 2nd November
