Role Overview

This is a senior commercial appointment responsible for driving growth across UK Entity Management, Corporate Secretarial, Board Advisory and Board Effectiveness services. Reporting directly into divisional leadership, you will take ownership of developing and executing a growth strategy, building relationships with Company Secretaries, General Counsel and Chief Legal Officers across listed and complex organisations. This is a highly entrepreneurial role, requiring a self-starter with strong governance credibility, commercial instinct and the confidence to operate at board level. You will combine technical understanding with relationship-led business development to deliver sustained, double-digit growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a commercial growth strategy across UK entity management and board advisory service lines
  • Build and nurture senior-level relationships with Company Secretaries, General Counsel, Chief Legal Officers and governance leaders
  • Identify and originate new business opportunities through networking, events, targeted outreach and market engagement
  • Lead client pitches and presentations at board and executive level
  • Partner closely with operational and technical teams to shape tailored client solutions
  • Drive cross-selling opportunities across aligned governance service lines
  • Contribute to thought leadership, market visibility and brand positioning within the CoSec and governance community
  • Deliver sustainable and profitable revenue growth in line with strategic objectives

Requirements

  • Proven experience in business development, client leadership or commercial growth within corporate services, governance advisory, fiduciary services or adjacent professional services
  • Strong understanding of UK company secretarial, governance and entity management environments
  • Experience engaging with senior legal and governance stakeholders (GCs, CoSecs, CLOs, Board members)
  • Commercially astute and comfortable building pipeline independently without heavy sales infrastructure
  • Credible, measured communication style suited to risk-aware and compliance-led buyers
  • Strong relationship-building capability with a long-term, trust-based approach
  • Ability to operate with autonomy while influencing senior internal stakeholders
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the energy to generate momentum in a growth-focused environment
