NOW HIRING: Welders – Methil (Navantia UK)
Navantia UK, a key player in advanced shipbuilding and heavy fabrication, is expanding its workforce in Methil and is looking for skilled Time‑Served Welders to join our team.
Required Qualifications- Time‑served welder – 4G minimum SVQ Level 3 (or equivalent)
- Strong experience with FCAW
- Ability to weld in all positions – Butts & Fillets
- Experience working with ceramic backing tiles
- SAW (Submerged Arc Welding)
- MCAW
- Mechanised welding systems
If you do not currently hold personal welder codings, in‑house weld testing is available. Welder Qualification Test (ISO 9606‑1) Process: 136 / FCAW PF / Vertical Up – Root, Fill & Cap PA / PE – Flat Root (basic cored wire) / Overhead Fill & Cap ceramic backing tile for root pass Supplementary PB / Flat fillet weld. All testing is witnessed by Navantia UK personnel and an IACS representative.
Location: Methil, Fife – working on major UK maritime and industrial projects.
