Navantia UK is seeking a detail-focused Paint Inspector to join our fabrication team. This role is key to ensuring all painting and coating activities meet required quality standards, specifications and regulatory requirements across major industrial and maritime projects.

Key Responsibilities- Inspect surface preparation, paint application and curing processes.
- Verify compliance with project specifications, industry codes and standards.
- Carry out visual inspections and use testing equipment to check coating thickness, adhesion and finish quality.
- Document inspection findings, including photographs, and produce clear inspection reports.
- Work with project managers, engineers and applicators to resolve quality issues.
- Provide guidance and bestâpractice advice to paint applicators.
- Monitor environmental conditions to ensure suitable conditions for coating and curing.
- Maintain accurate records of materials, inspections and quality documentation.
- Proven experience as a Paint Inspector or in a similar quality role within fabrication or industrial environments.
- Strong knowledge of coating systems, surface preparation and paint application techniques.
- Familiarity with industry standards such as SSPC, ASTM, NORSOK and ISO.
- Certification or training in paint inspection NACE Level 2 and ICORE Level 2.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative working style.
- High attention to detail with strong problemâsolving abilities.
