The mission of the IT Support Officer is to strategically align the function with the objectives of the Business and Areas, understanding the needs and expectations of internal and external customers and coordinating with the rest of the Technology and Security organisation (T&S) to translate those needs into effective and optimised technology solutions.
- Active communication between the Business/Area and T&S.
- Clear identification of the needs of the Business/Area in terms of Information Technologies.
- Focus on the Business needs to ensure the value that T&S can bring to the Business.
- Collect the needs and manage the demand of the Business in technology matters.
- Advise and support the business/area under his/her responsibility on issues related to T&S.
- Act as a subject matter expert to the Business for aspects related to IT.
- Lead the changes in the Business related to the new implementations.
- Act as a conduit between colleagues in the Business and the T&S team who must deliver their requirements.
Qualifications:
- Relevant IT qualification (Ideally Hardware).
- Relevant and recent IT support experience in a busy office environment.
- Demonstrable track record of providing support of PC’s, laptops, printers etc.
- Demonstrable experience of providing support for MS Windows 10 and 11, Office M365.
