Be the on-site expert for business and enterprise applications, ensuring stable, reliable, and proactive application support across the site. You will keep critical engineering and manufacturing applications running, providing first-line support and owning tickets through to resolution. This role places you at the heart of the operation supporting PLM, CAD, and SAP, as well as everyday applications, working directly with engineers and production teams, and taking full ownership of issues from first report to final fix. Acting as the local interface between site teams and stakeholders, Enterprise Applications, and the wider IT organisation, you will support a complex engineering and manufacturing environment. The role requires strong hands-on experience with business-critical systems, particularly PLM and CAD, and a clear understanding of how applications enable engineering, production, and operational processes.

The Role- Provide hands-on first-line application support for PLM and CAD systems used by engineering and manufacturing teams, owning incidents, requests, and problems through to resolution.
- Develop deep, site-specific knowledge of engineering workflows, configurations, integrations, and dependencies across PLM, CAD, SAP, and related systems, ensuring minimal disruption to design, engineering change, and production processes.
- Diagnose application issues and escalate effectively to central application SMEs, tracking progress through to closure.
- Build strong relationships with engineering, manufacturing, and operational stakeholders to understand application usage and identify improvement opportunities.
- Collaborate with Enterprise Applications teams to ensure consistent standards, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement.
- Work closely with the Site IT Business Partner to align application support priorities.
- Participate in site and cross-functional projects focused on digital transformation and process optimisation.
- Maintain accurate documentation for application support procedures and known issues.
- Provide on-site support with occasional travel to other sites as required.
- Demonstrable, hands-on experience supporting PLM and CAD applications in a live engineering and manufacturing environment.
- Proven experience providing first-line application support for PLM/CAD systems, owning incidents through to resolution.
- Strong working knowledge of engineering workflows, including design, engineering change control, and configuration management.
- Experience supporting engineers and manufacturing users in operational, production-critical settings.
- Ability to diagnose PLM/CAD application issues and work effectively with central application SMEs to resolve them.
- Experience supporting integrated enterprise environments, including ERP systems (e.g. SAP) alongside PLM/CAD.
