Job Purpose
Support the Planning function by maintaining and updating programme schedules, integrating inputs from multiple work centres into the Contract Master Schedule (CMS) in Primavera P6, and preparing concise planning reports for internal and external stakeholders. This role is ideal for someone eager to learn, with a proactive and positive attitude, who is ready to develop new skills and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
- Schedule updating & Integration: Learn to maintain activity data, calendars and coding in Primavera P6 and Safran; assist with integrating work‑centre schedules into the CMS under supervision.
- Baseline support: Support baseline set up and controlled change (BCR preparation, revision logs) with guidance, ensuring traceability.
- Progress & Reporting: Help prepare weekly snapshots and monthly KPI packs (critical path movement, milestone adherence) using agreed templates; support governance forums with clear narratives.
- Risk & Readiness: Assist with Schedule Risk Analysis (SRA), Monte Carlo runs, and IBR preparation (data packs, action tracking).
- Interfaces and Data Quality: Contribute to maintaining consistency between P6, Safran schedules and SAP data; support continuous improvement of coding standards and templates.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Primavera (P6): Any exposure is a plus, but not mandatory - training will be provided.
- Risk Analysis: Interest in learning about SRA, Monte Carlo simulations, and related methodologies.
- SAP: Willingness to learn SAP for project control/reporting.
- MS Project/Safran: Any familiarity is a bonus but not required.
Qualifications Education and Experience
Degree (or equivalent) in Engineering, Project Management or a related field; or relevant practical experience. 0-3 years of experience in scheduling/planning within complex programmes (defence/naval preferred but not mandatory). Most importantly: a positive, proactive attitude and a desire to grow within the role.
