Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect all incoming goods to verify compliance with quality standards and specifications.
  • Review documentation and material certification to ensure alignment with required specifications.
  • Create inspection reports within the SAP system for all received products and materials.
  • Raise Product Non‑Conformance Reports (NCRs) where discrepancies are identified.
  • Liaise with the Procurement team to resolve non‑conformances.
  • Participate in the CAPA process.
  • Identify counterfeit or suspected counterfeit products and materials.
  • Follow sample inspection protocols.
  • Respond to queries from internal departments.
  • Contribute to maintaining a safe, organised working environment.
  • Support overtime or weekend work when required.
  • Perform any other reasonable duties aligned with the role.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Working knowledge of material certification and traceability requirements.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify subtle defects.
  • Good organisational skills and ability to work independently.
  • Clear communication skills for dealing with suppliers and internal teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to follow instructions accurately.
  • Working knowledge of SAP.
  • Familiarity with national and international standards (Lloyds, IACS, DNV).

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 GCSEs, including Maths and English (Grade C or above).
  • Ability to use inspection measurement tools and techniques.
  • NVQ Level 3 in Inspection or Warehousing (desirable).
