We are looking for a proactive and detail‑driven Goods Inward Inspection Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will coordinate daily inspection activities, support continuous improvement, and ensure that all incoming materials meet the highest standards of quality, safety and compliance. What You’ll Be Doing
- Coordinating the daily activities, workload and priorities of the Goods Inward Inspection team.
- Supporting the selection, onboarding and development of team members.
- Creating inspection plans aligned with project, client and regulatory requirements.
- Reviewing and updating procedures and documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Working closely with cross‑functional teams to resolve technical queries and support root‑cause investigations.
- Reviewing material certification and documentation to confirm compliance with specifications.
- Identifying counterfeit or suspect materials and escalating appropriately.
- Collaborating with Procurement to resolve non‑conformances.
- Raising and managing Product Non‑Conformance Reports (NCRs).
- Leading or contributing to CAPA activities.
- Supporting the development of supplier performance metrics.
- Designing and implementing sample inspection protocols.
- Responding to queries from internal departments.
- Conducting hands‑on inspection of incoming goods when required.
- Producing clear and accurate inspection reports.
- Helping maintain a safe, organised and inclusive working environment.
- Supporting occasional overtime or weekend work when needed.
Qualifications
- Experience in Goods Inward Inspection or a similar quality‑focused role.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Working knowledge of material certification and traceability requirements.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently.
- Confident communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with suppliers and internal teams.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Experience using SAP or similar ERP systems.
- Understanding of Continuous Improvement tools (5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping).
- Exposure to APQP, PPAP, PFMEA or SPC.
- Experience using measurement systems.
Education & Experience
- ONC/NVQ in Engineering or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
- Experience working with ERP systems and measurement equipment.
