We are recruiting for Plating Supervisors to support frontline operations within a yard, vessel build, repair or inspection environment. These roles would suit individuals with strong plating or fabrication experience who are confident supervising teams, coordinating daily activities and ensuring work is delivered safely, productively and to the required quality standards.

As Plating Supervisor, you will play a key role in planning and supervising daily work, allocating tasks and resources effectively, monitoring progress and supporting a safe, respectful and productive working environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supervising and supporting plating teams on a day-to-day basis
  • Planning daily work activities to meet production targets
  • Ensuring all work is carried out safely and in line with procedures
  • Leading safety briefings, toolbox talks and promoting safe behaviours
  • Monitoring quality standards and addressing defects or rework issues
  • Reporting progress, risks, issues or constraints to management
  • Supporting team performance, attendance, onboarding and development

Applicants should have an apprenticeship, advanced qualification or equivalent experience in a relevant technical field, along with proven experience leading, coordinating and motivating operational teams. If you have plating or fabrication experience, strong supervisory skills and a commitment to safety, quality and delivery, we would like to hear from you.

Qualifications:

  • Apprenticeship or advanced qualification in Fabrication or equivalent experience.
  • Previous supervisory experience
  • Experienced Plater in a heavy engineering/fabrication industry
