You will serve as a Supply Management Specialist of NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center Norfolk.
Duties:
- You will ensure the provision of cost-effective customer support via ongoing review of customer service and customer service satisfaction processes to ensure their adequacy and effectiveness.
- You will develop, analyze and submit reports, charts, maintenance reviews, and manpower management program requirements for supervisor review and evaluation.
- You will provide continuous coordination and liaison between various units to ensure supply programs are accurate and effective.
- You will determine and recommend policy and/or procedural changes for improved supply effectiveness and responsiveness.
Requirements:
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
- Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.
- New employees to the Department of the Navy will be required to successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check.
- Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites.
- You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- This is a Mission Essential position.
Qualifications:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service that demonstrates your experience utilizing knowledge of procedures for receiving, storing, controlling, issuing, shipping, and disposal of material in assigning project goals to be accomplished by personnel in the Material Management Department. Examples of specialized experience must include the following:
- Expert knowledge of warehousing matters related to government property for ships undergoing construction, conversion, overhaul, repair, alteration, activation or inactivation.
- The ability to think clearly and systematically, to exercise judgement and to make decisions involving complex considerations.
- Expert use of Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (N-ERP) software.
- Responsible for the operation and control of either RRAM or CARP program as assigned.
