Summary: Administrative Specialist in NAVFAC: PMO 555/SIOP of SIOP PMO NORFOLK NNSY.

Duties:

  • Analyze administrative requirements against available resources to optimize administrative resource pool utilization and staffing.
  • Formulate strategy for execution of civilian personnel programs including monetary and non-monetary performance and incentive awards, training, security clearances, and position management for the respective SIOP FO.
  • Submit Position Descriptions (PD) to HRO for classification.
  • Develop and implement consistent methodology for maintenance of central office supplies.
  • Track all organizational change requests as well as contractor requests through the Position Management Board (PMB).
  • Identify, analyze, and make recommendations to resolve conventional problems and situations related to the programs administered.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to GS‑07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service (or equivalent in private/public sector) demonstrating:
    • Performing administrative information management responsibilities to include internal and external content, technical guidance, and support.
    • Providing administrative management support and oversight related to human resources requirements (e.g., awards, staffing, billet validation, position descriptions, etc.).
    • Assisting with updating and tracking project execution, spreadsheet data management, and application of business process and requirements.

Education:

  • Successful completion of a master’s or equivalent graduate degree OR two full years of progressively higher‑level graduate education leading to a master’s degree OR possession of an LL.B. or J.D. related to this position.
  • A combination of experience and graduate education equating to one year of experience. Transcript must be submitted if qualifying using education.
