Are you passionate about fire safety, education, and helping others grow their expertise? We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Fire Risk Assessment Trainer and Assessor to join our team and play a key role in the development of professionals within the fire risk sector.

Role Purpose

To deliver high-quality fire risk assessment training and CPD courses in line with legislation, educational standards, and internal quality assurance processes. This includes supporting learners throughout their qualification journey, providing fair and effective assessments, and contributing to the continuous development of course materials.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging training across the UK in line with curriculum and best practice.
  • Assess learner submissions and provide constructive, SMART feedback.
  • Support learners in assessment preparation and progress tracking.
  • Maintain accurate learner records and adhere to internal quality assurance protocols.
  • Contribute to the development and review of course materials for qualifications and CPD.
  • Carry out internal quality assurance (IQA) activities to ensure assessment consistency.
  • Provide technical input for bespoke training proposals.
  • Communicate directly with clients to deliver content aligned to their needs.
  • Stay current with industry and legislative developments.
  • Participate in CPD and actively share expertise to enhance team performance.

Education & Experience

Essential:

  • 5 GCSEs (Grade C or above), including English and Maths.
  • Qualification or equivalent experience in Fire Risk Assessment.
  • Proven experience conducting fire risk assessments (Level 4 or above).
  • Level 3 Assessor qualification or equivalent.
  • IT proficiency: Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

Desirable:

  • Working at intermediate/advanced level based on fire risk assessor competency standards.
  • Level 3 Award in Education and Training (or equivalent teaching experience).
  • Experience in CPD/qualification delivery.
  • Third-party accreditation in Fire Risk Assessment or willingness to achieve.
