SCOPE AND TASKS
- Supervising and performing installation, integration, commissioning; maintenance; Give support for procurement when required.
- Providing engineering input and technical support.
- Ensuring deliverables are produced according to project schedule and budget, within a quality-assured environment.
- Developing, under the leadership of your manager, your skills and experience for the benefit of the project.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supports engineering activities for the scope of activity (vacuum, cooling, buildings, remote handling, rotating machinery etc.).
- Performs mechanical analyses, in addition to thermal and structural analyses of piping systems and mechanical components to validate the design.
- Follows up of qualification tests and FATs.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provides assistance to the project management to carry-out engineering, interface control and procurement when required.
- Reviews installation procedures, Inspection & Test Plans and the installation testing issue when required.
- Issues inspection and observation reports when and where required.
- Provides expert criteria for mechanical and structural discipline related problems and follows-up on the resolution of the field engineering changes and installation non-conformities.
Note that job descriptions cannot be exhaustive, and so that the client may require to undertake other duties, which would be in line with the above responsibilities. This position may be shift based, and crucial to maintaining continuous operations and ensuring the highest level of service for our client and partners. This may require shift rotation and/or availability including day, evening, and night shifts, as well as weekends, depending upon project or team needs.
EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES
- Proven experience in Mechanical Engineering and/or mechanical components in the field of O&G installations, within complex international environments and projects.
- Rotating Machinery: Technical background in centrifugal pumps, centrifugal and reciprocating compressors, pumps, gas turbines, steam turbines, etc.
- Stress Analyses: structure response to loads.
- Mechanical Engineering: installing, testing, and maintaining mechanical components, systems and interfaces.
- Continuous Improvement: proposing changes (when necessary) and systems to enhance efficiency, quality, and productivity.
- Quality Management Systems (QMS): apply the applicable procedures related to your field of activity.
- Ability to work within contract rules.
- Periodic Technical reporting.
OTHER SKILLS
- Knowledge of software for mechanical engineering /process engineering.
- Optimizes Work Processes: knowing or identifying the most effective and efficient processes to get things done, with a focus on continuous improvement.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Master’s degree or equivalent in Mechanical, Energy field or other relevant discipline.
- Education degree may be substituted by extensive professional experience involving similar work responsibilities and/or additional training certificates in relevant domains.
