Join us as a Web Proxy Analyst. This is an opportunity for a driven analyst to take on an exciting new career challenge. You’ll be able to build and maintain a wide network of stakeholders of varying degrees of seniority. It’s a chance to have a tangible effect on our function, put your existing skills to the test and advance your career. You’ll work from home most of the time, but you’ll also spend a minimum of 1 day per week working from the office. This position will also involve working shifts, where you’ll be on call for 1 week, every 5 weeks.
What you'll do
- As a Web Proxy Analyst, you'll play a proactive role in anticipating and identifying security events, incidents and trends that could adversely impact the bank, our customers, employees or assets.
- You’ll be collaborating with internal and external colleagues, specialists and stakeholders to ensure activities relating to incident response, user access, alert monitoring, root cause analysis and scenario planning are completed in line with standard operating procedures and to a high standard.
- Providing end to end security response, including triage, response, escalation, and coordination of Web Proxy events, requests and incidents.
- Making sure decisions made are based on robust data, return on investment and value measures that demonstrate thoughtful and intelligent cost management.
- Encouraging the identification of ideas and driving the delivery of initiatives that will reduce cost and simplify the bank.
- Building and leveraging relationships with colleagues across the bank, and with third parties, to ensure decisions made are commercially focused and create long term value for the organisation.
- Supporting the platform's operational stability and maintenance of any systems utilities and tools, provided by the platform which are consistent with the ITIL, service management, risks and controls framework and processes.
- Contributing to future strategy and roadmap.

- Experience of operational responsibilities which involve ensuring Web Proxy platforms and products are maintained, current and functioning at all times.
- Experience in all aspects of service, risk, cost and people to ensure availability for business use to agreed Service Level Agreements (SLA’s) for all Web Proxy Service.
- Engaging in taking proactive measures to reduce outages, incidents and contribute to the Initiatives database.
- Adopting a continual service improvement approach to all areas of Proxy influence, and looking to adopt efficient and effective ways of managing the Web Proxy Environments.
