Join us as a Conduct and Compliance Senior Associate. In this role, you’ll be helping to deliver the bank-wide risk policy framework for your specialist area of Conduct and Compliance in NatWest Boxed. You’ll be providing your technical expertise on implementing regulatory change and upstream risks, supporting NatWest Boxed in our ongoing compliance with relevant laws and regulations. You’ll achieve excellent exposure for you and your work, as you liaise with a wide variety of stakeholders and act as a viable ambassador for your Conduct and Compliance specialism. This role is available for a period of 7 months.
What you'll do
- As a Conduct and Compliance Senior Associate you’ll be helping to define and maintain the relevant risk policy and appetite, supporting your specialist area on legislation.
- We’ll look to you to provide guidance and opinion to the Natwest Boxed teams in line with the risk framework and within appetite as well as helping to develop and maintain effective relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Helping to develop and manage our compliance and conduct policies so that we can make sure they are fit for purpose and meet the relevant regulatory expectations.
- Working closely with teams to support good customer outcomes through in depth knowledge of Consumer Duty and Vulnerable customer regulations.
- Providing specialist input to the development of new propositions, including new products, services, innovation and the adoption of new technology.
- Preparing, managing and maintaining business self-assurance checks and providing a summary of results to the business control partner.
- Working with colleagues to make sure that risks are appropriately managed within the business area.
- Driving compliance with the organisation’s records management policy standard across the business area.
The skills you'll need
- You’ll have Conduct and Compliance technical skills and experience, with a focus on Consumer Duty, Vulnerable Customers, Complaints, Product Flaws and Mis-selling.
- You’ll also need commercial awareness, industry knowledge and an understanding of risk management principles.
- An excellent understanding of compliance policies and processes with the ability to work closely with key stakeholders to implement them across the business.
- The ability to apply initiative and operate independently with limited supervision.
- Knowledge of relevant legal policies, regulatory and statutory obligations, risk management and management of the internal governance framework.
