This varied and highly visible role will see you supporting senior loan markets bankers with structuring, underwriting, pricing, and the distribution of debt instruments for Infrastructure, Project Finance and Corporates. You’ll be responsible for building relationships with key stakeholders across both the bank and institutional investor markets, ensuring your market intelligence remains current to inform key risk decisions and provide advice for our issuer and sponsor clients. The work you do will ensure best execution for clients regarding the primary distribution process.
What You’ll Do
- As a Loan Syndicator, you’ll be responsible for primary underwriting and pricing. This will involve providing pricing and structural guidance to origination and coverage teams, and supporting their origination efforts.
- You’ll build a strong network within the bank to support our Balance Sheet Management and public side sales colleagues in distribution of loans.
- You’ll also support the team with the preparation of underwriting memos, analysing key structural and pricing terms, and supporting on capital approvals.
- End-to-end deal execution, including negotiating deal terms, running deal calls, arranging bank meetings.
- Collaborating with the team and wider business to improve our efficiency and effectiveness, and identifying innovative market opportunities.
- Risk managing any unsold positions, working in close partnership with Balance Sheet Management & Flow Sales.
- Identifying new product and business opportunities and working with local and global product and client heads to deliver them.
The Skills You’ll Need
- We’re looking for someone with a broad understanding of loan markets, across both corporate and structured finance, with a proven ability to price new transactions across these products.
- You’ll be highly motivated and hold at least a bachelor’s degree.
- You’ll also demonstrate strong credit analysis skills including the ability to make an informed credit view on a company.
- The ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple competing priorities at once.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
