Join us in Trade Origination & Advisory CIB (Corporate and Institutional Banking) as a Vice President. This role focuses on delivering a best-in-class customer experience, ensuring clients receive optimal banking solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and deliver a best-in-class customer experience, ensuring customers receive the best banking solutions for their needs.
- Secure new Trade Finance business (including Trade Services and Open Account Finance) from new and existing customers, while retaining and growing current business.
- Build strong relationships with CIB customers (Large Corporates and Institutional) and key stakeholders across the bank, growing your career and network.
What You'll Do
- Work with strategy and deal origination at the forefront of your mind, managing and delivering against dynamic business development and business retention targets at individual, sector, and business level.
- Deliver on financial targets linked to key sales campaigns and identify origination opportunities that deliver optimum benefits to Trade Finance in CIB, a business pillar within Transaction Services & Trade.
- Support the Head of Trade Origination in the strategic development of the Trade business in the CIB franchise.
- Coach and develop less experienced team members to help them succeed in their roles.
Additional Responsibilities
- Deliver and embed customer opportunity plans in collaboration with the team and broader stakeholders (from origination and structuring through to implementation and lifecycle management).
- Lead and deliver client pitches, proposals and responses to tender documents.
- Promote the Trade business for NatWest by attending internal, industry and customer events at the regional level.
- Build client and competitor insights and share these with your colleagues.
- Track all origination activity using the sales management system and tools.
Required Skills
- Experience in the trade finance environment and product set, with an affinity for the CIB (Large Corporate and Institutional) customer base.
- Strong customer focus, excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills.
Demonstrated Qualifications
- Proven track record in an origination role, with direct accountability for financial targets.
- Experience developing business for both new and existing customers using a sales management framework.
- Proven credit and operational risk acumen.
- Knowledge of the regulatory agenda in the financial services market, including regulatory capital and pricing methodologies, financial crime risk management, and related areas.
