Join us as a Health, Safety & Environmental Business Partner. This is an excellent opportunity to deliver a relationship managed service to a portfolio of valued clients within our Business Banking segment in Safety, Health & Environmental consultancy. You’ll be building lasting relationships to grow the volume and value of your portfolio through consistently delivering high quality customer interactions and experiences. As a key member of our team, you’ll be recognised for building trust and long term sustainable value for our customers and colleagues. We're offering a salary between £41,183.00 and £48,450.00 for this role, with a £6,000 car allowance and pension funding. Travel throughout the South West is required.

What you'll do:

  • Deliver excellent service to your portfolio of clients, either through face to face meetings or video, telephone and email channels.
  • Work to understand their health and safety needs and provide them with commercial and profitable advice.
  • Encourage clients to adopt and use Mentor’s digital and self-service channels where appropriate.
  • Deliver new business growth through referrals, networking and business generation activities.
  • Lead new business prospect meetings, business networking and relationship building with your internal and external network and new customer lead referrals.
  • Work collaboratively with our Consultancy Delivery team to ensure services are delivered in line with customer expectations and timescales.
  • Proactively manage client retention and renewal pricing conversations for your own portfolio and in support of others.
  • Maintain a fully up to date contact strategy plan, focusing on developing new business income and achieving agreed income goals.
  • Support other clients as well as your own, and colleagues with complex health and safety technical issues.

The skills you’ll need:

  • Strong customer focus and professional qualifications in Health and Safety or Environmental, NVQ 4/5, NEBOSH Diploma, recognised degree or equivalent, and membership of relevant professional body, minimum TechIOSH and be working towards and expected to attain CMIOSH within 18 months of joining.
  • Extensive experience in a role relating to health and safety, with a background in dealing with the provision of advice for complex matters.
  • Experience of identifying customer needs, identifying risks and prioritising recommendations.
  • The ability to identify and lead business solutions, bespoke service offerings to customers and provide commercial price quotes.
  • Excellent time management skills and a flexible approach to serve customers at times that meet their needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to become a Trusted Advisor to our customers, with the ability to convey clear and easy to understand technical health, safety and environmental advice and guidance both verbally and in writing.
