Join us as a Senior Visual Designer. In this key role, you’ll be driving visual, creative and design thinking across a range of streams, such as Web or App, and projects. You’ll be at the forefront of visual design with a strong knowledge around product and digital experience design, demonstrating a passion and expertise for creating distinctive, yet considered, UI solutions.
We’ll look to you to develop innovative ideas and maintain strong creative visions for the improvement of our customers' experiences, while providing direction to designers and helping to set the standard for UI deliverables across the teams. You are required to submit your CV and portfolio showcasing samples of your digital creative and visual design work highlighting the end-to-end product design process. You’ll work from home some of the time, but you’ll also spend at least one day a week working in the office.
What you’ll do:
- As a Visual Design Lead, you’ll be leading and inspiring the project team to develop and maintain strong creative ideas that are on brand, distinctive, consistent, and help make actions feel good across all experiences, delivering exceptional visual design solutions.
- Leveraging your strong background in visual design, you’ll create on brand, stunning and considered UI designs that work to enhance the user experience and bring the brand to the fore.
- You’ll take on challenges from mobile screens to social media posts and everything in-between, delivering it all with the same level of passion and direction.
- Helping to set the standards for visual design deliverables across the team and giving further clarity to what good looks like.
- Mentoring and guiding less experienced designers, helping them grow their skillsets and visual design maturity.
- Creating a collaborative and creative environment, encouraging all members to push for what’s best creatively and for the customer.
- Managing relationships with UX designers, researchers, product owners and developers to create new products and features and extend on existing ones.
- Using your product design knowledge and applying UX thinking to user experience problems.
- Working with Agile project teams and key stakeholders, in sprints, retrospectives and reviews, to develop user-centred design solutions within project timeframes and goals.
- Using our brand elements to enable, enhance and increase our distinction as a brand through our digital experiences.
The skills you’ll need:
- Experience in a visual design role, with a strong focus on digital product and web design and creating stunningly creative and distinctive design solutions.
- Excellent time keeping and project management skills, with the ability to scope projects of various sizes and help to recognise the right people or skills for the work.
- A solid product knowledge and the ability to apply UX thinking, paired with a real passion for a user-centred approach, the craft of design, bringing things to life with motion and helping to evolve the brand.
- Motion design experience, ideally with 3D knowledge.
- A proven track record of working collaboratively with large, small and multi-disciplinary teams, taking on feedback and evolving solutions as part of a team.
- Expert presentation and storytelling skills to sell your ideas and solutions.
- Expertise in the Adobe Design Suite, Figma and ProtoPie.
- Proficiency in AI tools such as ChatGPT, Firefly, and Midjourney.
