Join us as a Search and GEO Lead. Become an integral part of our Marketing team, where you’ll shape how the bank delivers best‑in‑class visibility across Search and AI models. You’ll lead the development of our Search and Generative Engine Optimisation strategy, connecting content, technology and performance to deliver measurable outcomes. This role sits at the heart of an integrated creative and media team, operating within a modern hybrid model of bank and agency collaboration. It offers a great opportunity to establish your profile while shaping our approach to marketing within AI-powered search.

What you’ll do:

  • Manage the creation and delivery of our strategy, ensuring that search, content optimisation and user experience are working together to support the bank’s wider business goals.
  • Set the direction for how we design and produce content that performs well in Large Language Models and other AI-driven environments.
  • Manage and mentor team members to build a culture of collaboration, innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee technical SEO, content optimisation and user experience improvements across NatWest domains.
  • Partner with website, content, compliance, legal, brand, creative, paid media, social and digital PR teams to amplify organic reach.
  • Monitor organic performance and translate data into clear insights and actionable recommendations.
  • Evolve reporting frameworks and dashboards to improve visibility of organic performance and impact.

The skills you’ll need:

  • Deep organic media expertise, strong leadership skills and a passion for shaping the future of search.
  • Extensive experience of leading SEO strategies and delivering best‑in‑class organic performance.
  • Experience in shaping content strategies for LLMs or AI-driven platforms.
  • A strong understanding of both traditional SEO and the emerging discipline of Generative Engine Optimisation.
  • Proficiency using analytics tools (Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics) to evaluate performance and inform decision‑making.
  • A clear understanding of the UK search market, as well as regulatory and accessibility requirements.
  • The ability to lead multiple initiatives, manage complexity and work collaboratively across large, matrixed teams.
  • Experience of coaching and developing others, helping teams grow their skills and impact.
