Join us as a Programme Manager within Retail Account Opening. This is an opportunity for a driven Programme Manager to take on a new, exciting career challenge to lead the RBS International (RBSI) Retail Account Opening Change Programme which will require integrating new platforms and technology into RBSI Retail journeys, enhancing existing platforms to improve the customer experience and realise the RBSI vision. You’ll have the chance to build and maintain a strong network of stakeholders of varying seniority across RBSI and NatWest Group (NWG).

What you’ll do:

  • Define and lead strategic change programmes, programme and project lifecycles to deliver sustainable business and customer outcomes, while making sure that all governance, risk, finances and resources are managed effectively.
  • Define the programme in partnership with stakeholders, defining appropriate objectives, structure and scope and lead the articulation of the financial business case for the programme.
  • Contribute to a financial business case for the programme.
  • Work with the delivery teams to make sure that appropriate resources are assigned to deliver the programme.
  • Build, manage and maintain a positive working relationship with senior stakeholders across multiple franchises and functions, influencing decision making in line with business objectives.
  • Manage programme level risks, assumptions, issues and dependencies.
  • Understand the impacts other programmes may have and manage the dependencies.

The skills you’ll need:

  • Hold an appropriate programme management qualification such as MSP or Agile.
  • Demonstrated success in delivering complex, multi-year, multi-million-pound programmes with effective cost management against budget.
  • Experience of delivering strategic programmes that support the business strategy and its growth agenda.
  • Extensive experience delivering programme management within complex technology environments, spanning large-scale platforms including new, legacy, and end-of-life systems, and successfully integrating these into cohesive, end-to-end delivery journeys.
  • Strong experience in both business and technology change governance, including cloud governance, with a clear understanding of controls, decision frameworks, and regulatory expectations within complex operating environments.
  • Proven capability in authoring, shaping, and presenting high-quality decision papers (including Carta papers) to senior governance forums and executive committees, enabling informed, strategic decision-making.
  • Extensive experience of operating in Idea-to-Value (I2V) delivery models, demonstrating the ability to manage risk effectively as part of a broader, end-to-end change journey from concept through to value realisation.
