Join us as a People AI & Governance Digital Product Manager

  • You’ll support the delivery, optimisation and governance of People technology products, helping ensure they remain effective, compliant and aligned to colleague and business needs
  • Working with the Digital Product Lead, you’ll support the application of AI governance, Model Risk and AI & Data Ethics requirements across People technology products and services
  • You’ll build valuable relationships across Digital Products, People Technology, People Data & Analytics, People Risk and bank-wide governance teams while developing expertise in AI and technology governance
  • This is a hybrid position, so you’ll work from home some of the time, coming into the office at least two days per week to collaborate closely with your colleagues

What you’ll do

In this important role, you’ll manage the implementation and ongoing management of AI and Risk governance requirements across People technology products and services. You’ll make sure AI-enabled solutions are understood, controlled and operated in line with enterprise AI policy, Model Risk requirements, Responsible AI standards and regulatory expectations.

We’ll look to you to maintain AI governance controls, documentation and that support assurance, audit and compliance activities while helping make sure products operate safely, responsibly and in line with regulatory expectations.

Your work will focus on:

  • Supporting the delivery of product and governance backlogs, including user stories, acceptance criteria, release planning and prioritisation activities
  • Coordinating product enhancements, releases and governance actions, tracking progress, dependencies, risks and issues
  • Working with Digital Product Managers, People Technology and governance teams to support testing, release readiness and implementation activities
  • Supporting the application of AI Governance, Model Risk, AI & Data Ethics standards and regulatory requirements throughout the product lifecycle
  • Maintaining governance documentation, control evidence, risk information and product artefacts that support audit, assurance and compliance activities
  • Monitoring product performance, adoption and usage, identifying opportunities to improve colleague experience and product effectiveness

The skills you’ll need

We’re looking for someone who can provide expert guidance on the safe, responsible and compliant use of AI-enabled products in line with bank-wide standards, models and frameworks. We’ll look to you to own the wider technology governance processes across the People function. You’ll bring experience supporting digital products, technology services or platform-based solutions within a complex, regulated environment.

A strong understanding of Agile delivery practices, including backlog management, user stories, release activity and product lifecycle, is crucial to the role, as well. Knowledge of HR technology and processes, such as Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development and Colleague Services, would be advantageous.

You’ll also need:

  • An understanding of AI Governance, Responsible AI, Model Risk, risk and control frameworks, and how governance requirements are applied across technology products and services
  • Experience using product, adoption and performance data to support recommendations, prioritisation and service improvements
  • Experience maintaining governance documentation, control evidence, risk logs and assurance materials, while supporting technology change, product enhancements and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Strong stakeholder and supplier management, communication and influencing skills, with the ability to explain complex topics clearly and build effective relationships across a range of audiences
  • Strong planning, organisational and prioritisation skills, with the ability to manage multiple activities and competing demands effectively
