Job Description
We are looking for a Mainframe Scrum Master responsible for delivering infrastructure projects on the bank’s Mainframe platform.
The role involves coaching and guiding the team, removing impediments, facilitating meetings, protecting the team from outside distractions, and working closely with the product owner to maintain a healthy product backlog.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as process owner for the team and maintain relationships with key stakeholders
- Create a trusting and safe environment for problem discussion
- Facilitate discussions, decision making, and conflict resolution
- Encourage internal and external communication to promote transparency
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience of successful Scrum adoption and a Scrum Master certification
- Knowledge of modern development practices and tools (X‑P, TDD, CI)
- Experience with servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and transparency
- Understanding of infrastructure and teams to engage for delivery
- Knowledge of the Mainframe infrastructure and supporting teams
- Background in coaching cross‑functional teams into high‑performing units
- Experience of changing organisational, team, or department mindsets and structure
- Understanding and experience of applying empirical process control
- Strong knowledge of the Agile manifesto and its principles
- Experience of automated testing frameworks
