Join us as a Relationship Director in Corporate Banking. We’re looking for a driven communicator to develop relationships across the bank, ensuring a cooperative approach to lead generation. You’ll be building relationships with and managing our clients, in-line with our customer strategy and marketing plans within the healthcare sector. This is an opportunity to really make this role your own, allowing excellent exposure for you and your work. Your time will be split between client meetings at their premises, collaborating with colleagues in our London office, minimum two days a week, or as required, with the remainder working remotely.

What you'll do

  • Providing financial services to corporate customers by engaging them with respect, professionalism and credibility in all situations.
  • Developing a robust network of external contacts across the wider business community.
  • Using your leadership and motivational skills to manage a sub team, contributing to the performance and sustainable profitability of your function.
  • Developing an origination strategy for the creation of new customers within your sector.
  • Working with and supporting your team to ensure credit stewardship responsibilities are carried out and high qualities of new and existing lending are maintained.
  • Building, maintaining and managing relationships at all levels across the bank.
  • Ensuring all credit and operational risk policies are understood and adhered to.
  • Providing line management to an Assistant Relationship Director.

The skills you'll need

  • Proven experience in a financial role along with a clear understanding of credit markets and best practice in lending.
  • The ability to analyse and interpret complex corporate situations, anticipate future business trends and evaluate strategic options.
  • A background in providing imaginative and creative solutions to complex problems.
  • A strong understanding of the relevant businesses and underlying products.
  • The ability to communicate with impact to senior level within the business, other professionals and with customers.
  • A strong customer focus and excellent relationship management skills.
  • A proven ability to formulate or deliver a business strategy.

A Diploma in Lending Skills is a professional qualification awarded by the Chartered Institute of Bankers that’s widely recognised across our industry, designed to equip you with the knowledge, understanding and skills relating to the commercial lending environment in our digital age. With 18 months to complete your studies, you’ll have the ability to tailor a journey to your own individual learning needs too, which will combine self-study in the form of workbooks and e-learning, and workshops.
