Join us as Head of Payments and Open Banking. As Head of Payments and Open Banking, you’ll set the strategic direction of the team, supported by the senior technical members. You’ll take responsibility for the end-to-end delivery of strategic and tactical projects, delivering agreed business outcomes and coordinating various technology and change teams to achieve this. What you'll do
- In your new role, you’ll be accountable for making sure that project deliverables can achieve sustainable business and customer goals, while ensuring all governance, risk, finances and resources are managed effectively across a range of delivery methodologies.
- You’ll prepare a financial business case for the technology programme with a clear line of sight to customer value being delivered in accordance with the technology investment portfolio and funding requirements, making sure that the reputation of the bank is built, safeguarded, and kept foremost in the mind, while interacting with all stakeholders.
- You’ll also ensure that work done is aligned to the principles of software development across the bank.
- Deliver architectural and functional improvements that will have a positive impact on our technology estate and business.
- Drive and contribute to the technology strategy roadmap.
- Understand and incorporate requirements originating from the programmes in which the project team is involved.
- Influence delivery plans and coordinate delivery across multiple projects and deliverables.
The skills you'll need
- Experience in leading and managing development teams will be required, as will knowledge of the key phases of software delivery lifecycles and established software development methodologies.
- We’ll also look for experience in driving change through to a successful conclusion and the ability to influence at all levels.
- In addition, you’ll need experience with Payments and Open Banking and have extensive knowledge of project finances and reporting.
- Having knowledge of Wealth, products, clients and architecture would be beneficial.
- You’ll also need good knowledge of technical architecture and the functionality of applications used to support the business.
- Experience of working in a dynamic environment often with shifting priorities.
- The ability to quickly understand and be familiar with complex systems.
- Experience of delivering projects in geographically dispersed teams.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills.
- Strong communicator and ability to communicate project concepts to stakeholders, senior IT counterparts and group colleagues.
