Overview
In this role you will manage sponsor-focused client relationships within the Funds Banking team to drive business growth. You will oversee origination and credit quality for your portfolio, while collaborating with internal stakeholders to deliver NatWest Group capabilities. You will prepare briefs and pitch books, map client needs, and ensure high-quality interactions. This is a pathway to an externally recognised qualification and a chance to shape financing solutions for UK and Western Europe sponsors.
Responsibilities
- Manage sponsor client relationships and maintain a sponsored portfolio
- Oversee origination and credit quality for the portfolio
- Prepare well-researched briefs and pitch books for meetings
- Identify client needs using strategy planning tools and deliver tailored solutions
- Support Team Lead with commercial strategy and internal stakeholder management
- Maintain credit quality in collaboration with senior colleagues
- Build partnerships across internal stakeholders to deliver NatWest capabilities
- Act as a visible presence in the business and external market
Key requirements
- Strong relationship management, origination, and commercial skills
- Ability to understand customer strategies and identify growth opportunities
- Capable of coordinating colleagues across the bank to deliver solutions and high-quality experience
- Awareness of financing and risk management trends; comfortable with product, credit and risk partners
- Strong market awareness and credibility with sponsor segments in UK and Western Europe
- Track record of delivering high-quality transactions and building relationships in a corporate environment
- Good strategic capability and origination experience
