In Customer Products & Propositions, we analyse customer journeys, innovate business products, and explore new and better ways to serve our Commercial Banking customers. From entrepreneurial start‑ups to FTSE100 customers, we design products and propositions with our customers in mind to enhance the end‑to‑end customer experience and drive sustainable value for the bank.
As a graduate trainee in Customer Products & Propositions, we’ll give you the best possible start to your career by equipping you with the knowledge, skills, and experiences you’ll need to make a significant impact through your work. Over the course of this two‑year programme, you can expect to:
- Work at the forefront of innovation to explore new and better ways to serve our customers’ needs through our award‑winning digital channels
- Develop a deep understanding of product development, customer journeys, innovation, and our growing digital banking proposition
- Collaborate, solve challenges, and deliver the best possible experience for colleagues and customers through our unique Customer Goal and Journey model
- Complete a variety of placements across the other Commercial Banking streams which will allow you to build a breadth of skills and experiences
- Study towards a professional qualification, with the opportunity to tailor your experience in your second year by choosing what you want to study
We’ll reward you with a starting salary of £36,000 a year. If you join a team based in London, you’ll be awarded an additional allowance of £3,450 a year pro rata. And on top of your salary, you’ll also have access to our flexible benefits package. You can expect to:

To be eligible for our Customer Products & Propositions graduate programme, you’ll need:
- To have, or be on course to achieving a 2:1 in your degree
- A passion for innovation
- Good communication skills
- A strong customer focus
- To be curious, and willing to approach things from a fresh perspective
