Join us as a Strategic Finance Advisor, partnering with our Corporate and Institutions business. We’ll look to you to provide commercial and financial insights and analysis to help influence key business decisions. You'll be helping to influence business decisions by providing commercial and financial expertise, ensuring compliance with the bank’s governance.
What you'll do:
- Providing business insights and market knowledge to assist the leadership team in making key decisions.
- Partnering with key stakeholders and the wider team to support, challenge and influence.
- Collaborating with our Finance centre of excellence to provide specific financial plans, forecasts, customer, market or segment analysis.
- Reviewing, challenging and influencing all investment decisions.
- Ensuring appropriate tracking and support is in place to measure project deliverables.
- Driving changes to the operating model to ensure the business is at the forefront of the operating model, addressing future finance demands proactively.
- Assisting with the promotion of revenue, cost and capital management leadership across the allocated business.
The skills you'll need:
- A CA, ACA, CIMA, MBA qualification or equivalent with both financial services and business partnering experience.
- A high level of commercial decision making and negotiation skills.
- Comfortable operating within a matrix structure organisation, with the ability to deal with ambiguity, uncertainty and risk.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to communicate complex financial information in a concise, non-technical manner.
- The ability to create and review plans, forecasts models and scenarios analysis.
- The ability to work in an agile manner to deliver business outcomes.
- Strategic awareness and the ability to apply business knowledge, expertise and challenge to support the business.
- Desirable: Good knowledge of commercial banking and Investment banking offerings.
