Day-to-day, you’ll work collaboratively with a number of internal and external stakeholders to identify risks and address any identified gaps, managing any incidents or issues raised through front line customer contact. This role offers the advantage of a varied breadth of work, supporting stakeholders across the bank and creating a safer environment for our customers, with excellent opportunities for development. This is a remote-first role, so you’ll spend most of your time at home, working with your team digitally and coming into the office a minimum of twice a month.

What you'll do:

  • Design, develop, implement and undertake assurance activity in relation to the retail mortgage valuation process.
  • Deliver tasks and activities related to the ongoing management of risk issues within the business.

  • Monitor and analyse operational, conduct, credit and regulatory risks, and identify related issues and any areas for improvement.
  • Deliver against channel and central actions, in line with the risk appetite and direction set by management.
  • Support the development of the residential mortgage valuation strategy, along with robust assurance activity.
  • Support the evolution of valuation assurance activity towards a more data-led approach, leveraging in-depth analysis and insight.

The skills you'll need:

  • Excellent communication skills to build strong relationships with key stakeholders across the organisation.
  • A background in assurance and risk management methodologies would be advantageous.
  • Good understanding of the application of operational risk within a financial services environment.
  • Good knowledge of the bank’s valuation policies or the external mortgage valuation market.
  • MRICS, FRICS or AssocRICS qualification.
  • Experience of operating in an audit, assurance or risk function.
